We are the blessed parents of eight children, five of whom still live at home. As a mission-minded family, we’ve always taught our children the importance of the Great Commission, and through this, we believe the Lord Jesus has been preparing our hearts for this vision of Open Doors Missions Relief.
Open Doors Missions Relief is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide missionaries and pastors with a place of rest. Like Jesus says in Mark 6:31, ” … ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.'” We built the ODMR mission house as a refuge for those doing the Lord’s work. It will be a place for His servants when they come in on sabbatical from other countries – to be able to raise money for more time on the mission field – or just a place to take a break.
Many missionaries have left everything to serve Jesus Christ and spread the Gospel. In Mark 10:29, Jesus tells them that if they give up their home, family, and field for His sake in the Gospel, they will receive a hundred times as much in this present age. With eternity in our minds, our heart is to serve them as they serve Him. We desire to wash the feet of His servants.
